OP OP! Article about our new project BMW E92 335i at the bottom of the market.
Slava's last cars were diesel, and before those diesel cars, he had gasoline drift machines like E30, E46, E36, but after selling them, he bought the project BMW F11 525d, which was successfully sold later.
After selling the F11, our manager decided to buy something fast, and he decided to look for an E92 335 with rear-wheel drive, wanting a manual transmission and also hoping to find a car with an M-package and sport seats.
The first car inspected was an E92 priced at $12,000, with the issue being a faulty automatic transmission and a sad condition of the body and interior.
The second option was an E92 priced at $14,000 in blue, with an M-package. It was decided to take it to the service. After the car arrived at the service station, it was found that the body paint was very poor, the interior assembly was bad, and the technical part was not maintained.
The third option was an inconspicuous ad — an E92 priced at $10,000. Upon the car's arrival at the service for a pre-purchase inspection, it was found that the car was in decent condition, and it was decided to buy it! The car was purchased for $9,000.
Regarding the car's nuances: there was a scratch on the front bumper, the front headlight was damaged, and there was a scratch on the rear bumper; the owner was not concerned as other bumpers and side skirts had already been purchased.
Interior: the car is equipped with sports seats, a large monitor, and a worn sports steering wheel.
Engine: our specimen has an N54 engine, with refurbished turbos (which are leaking again), 3 injectors replaced (another 3 need to be replaced), a new high-pressure fuel pump installed, the power steering reservoir is leaking, and the valve cover was replaced.
Modifications on the car: on the second day after purchasing the car, DOWN PIPE and Intercooler were ordered. During the installation of the DOWN PIPE N54, it was discovered that sports catalytic converters were already installed, so only the Intercooler was installed. The automatic transmission was then flashed with the xHP chip.
0-100 km/h measurements (without any modifications) – recorded a time of 11.7 seconds.
0-100 km/h measurements (after installing the Intercooler and xHP) – recorded a time of 10.5 seconds.
Plans for the car: Stage 2+ ECU chip tuning, exterior modifications (M-package), installation of new wheels and suspension, possibly installing a manual transmission and locking the rear differential, as well as a new steering wheel and racing seats.
Once on the track, the car provided a ton of emotions, but the brakes were lacking, and there was a strong desire to install a different suspension.
