About the engine: N57 40d 3.0-liter diesel – 313 horsepower, decent dynamics, reasonable fuel consumption. The N57 with the 40d index will be a good choice, as the 50d will be a bit exclusive and finding parts can be quite difficult.
The vehicle is all-wheel drive, equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. There are virtually no transmission issues.
Trim levels:
The car lacks keyless entry, but it has comfortable ventilated seats, an M steering wheel, heated seats all around, a black interior with a panoramic roof, Harman/Kardon audio, ambient lighting, and a heads-up display.
Assistants: features a radar, active cruise control, collision warning, and blind spot detection. The car is equipped with adaptive suspension and comfortable seats, adding maximum comfort while driving.
Driving experience: the seating position is good, you sit high, everything can be adjusted to your liking, with good dynamics and decent handling.
Acceleration 0-100 km/h - 7.3 seconds
There is a large power reserve here, but when you press the gas pedal, you don't get the feeling that you are accelerating quickly — everything happens smoothly and steadily.
Fuel consumption: 8-9 liters on the highway and 10-11 liters in the city.
The 40d is similar in dynamics to the N55 engine. With the N55 engine, your consumption will be no less than 15 liters. Here with the 40d, it's about 11 liters, which is a significant difference.
Conclusions: we have a great exterior, cool trim levels, excellent driving characteristics, a comfortable, quiet vehicle. This engine is sufficient in any conditions: in the city, on the highway, during overtaking, with a reasonable fuel consumption.
