BMW F30 328 – a 2013 model with a stock power of 245 horsepower. It was decided to do Stage 2 and then transfer the license to another car. The catalytic converter was replaced with a DOWN PIPE.
Acceleration tests with DOWN PIPE, 0-100 and 100-200 km/h on Stock and Stage 2.
STOCK: 0-100 km/h – 6.15 seconds and 100-200 km/h – 18.3 seconds.
STAGE 2: 0-100 km/h – 5.6 seconds and 100-200 km/h – 15.4 seconds.
Results: As you can see, STAGE shaved off 0.5-0.6 seconds from each of the tests. Better results can be achieved with proper tires and warm weather; also, the car is rear-wheel drive. With good traction conditions, the car should achieve 0-100 km/h in the range of 5-5.2 seconds.
After the engine chip installation, the owner immediately felt the difference in power. The car gained good dynamics and started to spin the wheels even more.
